Here’s a peek at some of the best images coming out of 3D Imaging’s Project 1 critique. This character-design based project asked students to try and achieve one of the most difficult tasks, which is to tell an entire narrative that is loaded with mystery, all in a single image.

Wire and Tracing Paper by Tommy Treadway. Cymatic Plates by Amanda Novy - created by generating waves on galvanized steel plates with dry ice and creating patterns in powdered wax. After heating the wax to the plate, she etched them in acid. 
pture by Ryan Coen Pin landscape by Torri Whitchurch translated a time-based audio waveform into a multidimensional format.

Multimedia Design I  |  Physical For Loop
This class project asked student programmers to create an algorithmic sketch with a screen-based output and then translate it into a physical form. This blend of computational aesthetics and craft processes led to unexpected results.
